We have been in Kent today and while out walking Zac we came across a bizarre piece of council money wastage.
There is a pedestrian bridge over the motorway and near the top they have put up a sign warning about a severe hazard. The worrying point on the bridge is a small dip in the concrete. A dip of around 2 centimetres. Yes, it’s something that deserved spray paint and a sign. We recorded it for you…
Since my partner’s pensioner mother lost her kneecap after tripping over the edge of a sunken paving stone, I don’t think the warning is so bizarre.
A lady tripped there and has sued the council for £65,000.
While putting a sign up and highlighting the trip hazard with paint is all well and good, at the end of the day it’s still there for people to trip on – why don’t they just fix it? You’re right, complete waste of money
