Music recommendation: Dawes – If I wanted someone

I first heard this song on a podcast and immediately liked it. That rarely happens to me, so here is my first recommendation for you. This is ‘If I Wanted Someone’ by the Californian band ‘Dawes’. I like the roughness of the performance, but it’s also a carefully crafted piece of songwriting. It reminds me a little of the Australian band ‘Jet’ and I would suggest you check out a track of theirs called ‘Look What You’ve Done’.
