Race #3

I ran in my 3rd 10k race of the year and what a tough event it was!  The organisation, goody bag and people were all great, but the course was very difficult and underlined how I need to work much harder.  The weather forecast had promised heavy rain, but it was hot and humid which isn’t good running weather. The route through forests on the Kent/East Sussex border started with a hill, ended with a hill and had hills throughout!

I managed 55 minutes and some seconds which seemed OK for such a undulating route, but I struggled a lot.  Perhaps the week previously with heavy food and alcohol may not have helped!

Anyway, here’s a pic of me running, some fit runner and the contents of the goody bag (which I paid for indirectly of course).

Really nice to see you in action, even if it turned out to be so gruelling. It looks like the very generous contents of the goody bag was the worthy cherry on top of a fine effort.

Your legs look far finer than mine ever have. (At least you don’t have to wear a bandage support to conceal unsightly varicose veins!)
It’s good to see you you in ‘performance’ mode. More please!
