This week I have been…

Watching… just one film called Parkland about the assignation of JF Kennedy. Despite being well acted and filmed, it was very slow. It was gripping at times, but you just wondered why it had been made. It seemed a desperate way to include more people that were involved in the bigger story. It scrapes 6/10.

Running… in my 30th Parkrun on Saturday.  I returned to St Albans and was 3 seconds off my personal best!

Drinking… coffee on Saturday morning at a cool new cafe in town. The Groundworks is run by two guys who have been friends for decades and it only opened a few weeks ago. The coffee was good, but small.  While we were there, a nice lady sat next to us and asked about Zac and had a chat, she was Lorraine Chase!

Eating… some amazing burritos from Cantina Carnitas at the local monthly food festival at Saturday lunchtime.

Shopping… also on Saturday in Letchworth at Davids Music for Record Store Day. Pete had some luck and picked up a Grace Jones 12″ single that was released specially for the day – just 1000 were available across the country.

Entertained… by hypnotist Matthew Hale, again on Saturday(!). Matthew is a friends brother and he lives in Australia where he has been a radio DJ and now devotes his time to live hypnotist shows. It was very entertaining and a few times I was close to tears from laughing so much. While I was there, Pete was in Birmingham watching Gary Interesting Barlow.

Celebrating… the Premiership survival by Crystal Palace with their 5th straight win!!!

Indulging… on Sunday with a huge lunch, gin and wine. I had a hangover at 8pm.

‘Parkland’ – agreed, though I took it down a notch to (unacceptable to you) a 5.5.

I only go back and read your reviews once I’ve seen a film and your 5.5 agrees with my views on the film. Always nice to see Mr Efron though.
