The second incarnation of my blog
Watching… a film called The World’s End starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. I do like them as a team and rate Hot Fuzz highly, but unfortunately, this film wasn’t actually very good. However, it was interesting to watch as it was filmed in Letchworth Garden City where Pete and I used to live (and is only a few miles away). It’s strange to see lots of places you know, but this time filled with Zombie robots! It gets 6/10 from me.
Eating… too much bad food on a school night! After a few years of favouring Prezzo for a voucher-induced meal, we’ve returned to Pizza Express. Obtaining a 40% off voucher and having a great meal is very welcoming. If you eat out, always look for a voucher!
Drinking… at Paramount at the top of Centre Point on Saturday afternoon. It’s expensive, but the view is worth the cost of buying some drinks. If you think that it costs £25 to go up The Shard, then paying for some cocktails is a cost cross subsidy.
Eating… even more food, but this time at Hawksmoor in London. The steak there is just amazing and the atmosphere was buzzing on Saturday evening.
Running… in my 22nd Parkrun at a windy and wet venue in Bedford. With the weather being so wet, cold and windy, I’ve not been running very much but did manage 6 miles on Sunday when we had the rare occurance of blue skies! I have some longer training to do as I have signed up for the Sport Relief 6 miler at the Olympic Park in London at the end of March.
