My twitter poems from the past week, starting with a true story…

@sonnywaheed was on a plane
Sitting near to Noel from “deal”
And the air stewardess didn’t ask
If he wanted “meal or no meal?”


Tom Daley really has guts
I admire the speech that he gave
He’s not come out gay as such
He prefers just to swing it both ways


Time ticks by and I’m so bored
In an airport feeling betrayed
By Easyjet, who are of no help
As the screens just show “delayed”


In Munster for the night
And there’s lots to see and do
But this is Germany, not Ireland
As there’s an umlaut over the u

    Last one particularly good. (I’m still at a loss where to find the umlaut on my own computer!)

    Btw: In the first are you going to capitalize the ‘d’ at the end of 2nd line?

    It just confused me as to why it should be in inverted commas. I assume, unless I’m missing another meaning, that Noel is from Deal in Kent.
