The second incarnation of my blog

This week I have been…

ImageTravelling… to Germany for a long weekend to see friends in Dortmund and Münster. More info to follow.

Watching… the second series of the A Young Doctor’s Notebook with Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm. It makes for some odd viewing with it’s dark comedy and gruesome scenes, but it’s strangely compelling. It’s also great that two established actors are willing to make some off the wall drama for a little watched TV channel (Sky Arts).

Also watchingLife Of Pi, a visually stunning film. I have read the book and it’s excellent, so the movie was never going to live up to my expectation. Close to 8/10, but I’ve gone for 7/10.

Eating… typically German food and listening to some appalling German pop tubes from years go by.  I’ve also eaten quite a lot of sauerkraut, which is quite nice actually.

Resting and not running… due to the crappy weather and being away for the weekend.

Ach, herrliches Deutschland! My second homeland – as it actually was 1988-91. Lucky you! Unfortunately never visited either Dortmund nor Muenster but nevertheless will read your postings avidly.
