Cambridge to Waterbeach

Pete and I got the train to Cambridge this morning and then walked, with Zac, through the City then along the River Cam to Waterbeach. It’s about 8 miles and it was a a beautifully warm day with lots to see on the route.

There were plenty of people walking, cycling and running and on the river itself, lots of boats and rowers.  As you walk, you get the cityscape before it fades into lovely countryside.  As you leave the city, there are some impressive houses with huge gardens and summer houses and many with personal moorings.

At the end of the walk, we got the train home, completely exhausted!   Here are a few shots I took of the day.
