The second incarnation of my blog
Zac is now nearly 10 months old and pretty much fully grown. I think he may fill out a bit in the shoulders, but our boy has grown fast and is now the boss of the house, barking at anyone that comes near. He has taken over our lives, meaning that every decision about work and social life has the added consideration of “what are we going to do with Zac?”.
He is very much an individual, with his own specific likes, dislikes and preferred routines. He’s a real character and he makes us laugh a lot with his antics but is also very stubborn. He treats the two of us quite differently – he wants to play with me a lot, especially in the evenings and can be quite rough, but knowing how far to push it. On the other hand, he doesn’t play with Pete much, preferring to “use” him for food as he’s a soft touch. He favours which lap to sit on week by week.
After a long period of not enjoying walks, he’s much better now, but we are still cautious and only let him off the lead when we are sure he wont bolt. You can tell from his body language when he is content or not happy – his ears and stance say a lot about his state of mind.
All in all, I cant believe how life has changed adding a dog to the household!
He is much fluffier than when we first picked him up and three times the size at least – this was taken on day one:
And these two images were taken one evening this week while out for a walk:
