The second incarnation of my blog

It’s been a beautiful day in Hertfordshire and I was lucky to be out and about this morning seeing a couple of clients.  It reminded me of something that happened many years ago.

A friend of mine was working in Marseilles in a hotel on work experience. She would sometimes send postcards (I told you it was a while ago!) and usually had small writing to cram in some stories about her adventures.  One day however she sent a joint friend a postcard with a phrase that always makes me smile.  She simply wrote…

The sun shone today.

It said so much in just 4 words. So when you have a good day, a bad day, a stressful day or a dull day… if the sun came out and warmed the air, we have something to be thankful for.
